Is it safe for babies to be submerged underwater?2026-06-08T09:56:15+03:00

Yes—when done correctly, submersion is a safe activity for babies.
It’s done gradually, gently, and only when your child is ready. We never force a child. Every step happens at their pace, with support from the parent and the instructor.

Is baby swimming safe? Is it safe for the child?2026-06-08T09:59:22+03:00

Safety is the top priority.
Yes, baby swimming is safe, because activities are organized in a pool dedicated exclusively to young children, with appropriate temperature, following strict safety and hygiene protocols and under the guidance and supervision of specialized instructors, and exercises are adapted to the child’s age and level.

The parent actively participates in each session, providing the child with safety and comfort.

Why does the place where your baby swims matter?2026-05-30T15:27:18+03:00

The first months of life are defining.

  • your baby’s skin absorbs everything,
  • their lungs breathe the air above the water,
  • their little eyes are in direct contact with the water.

In a standard public pool, industrial chlorine is inevitable.
At BabySwim Cluj, NO!

And one more thing that few parents know, but which makes all the difference:

  • Our pool is exclusively for babies and toddlers. Period.
  • We don’t host private parties where dozens of children of all ages share the same water.
  • We don’t host swimming lessons for older children.
  • No adults enter for aqua gym, zumba, or other activities—the water is always just for babies!

How is the water disinfected?2026-05-30T15:27:17+03:00

We add natural salt (NaCl) to the pool.
Through the electrolysis process, the salt generates a natural disinfectant, in minimal and automatically controlled concentrations.
The water remains perfectly clean, without adding any chemical chlorine.

What does this mean for your baby?

Zero added chlorine in the water:

  • no pungent smell,
  • no irritation on your little one’s delicate skin,
  • no redness in their eyes after each session

Water as gentle as seawater:

  • the salt concentration is minimal and natural, similar to what you feel on your skin by the sea

No chloramines:

  • the substances in classic pools responsible for irritation, coughing, and allergies in children have no place in our pool

Constantly verified quality:

  • our water is monitored and approved by DSP Cluj, so you enter the pool with the certainty that everything meets the strictest hygiene and safety standards
Why do we ask for the medical certificate “Fit for swimming”?*2026-05-27T13:51:10+03:00

Because we love them just as much as you do.

We know it feels like an extra step. Another trip to the doctor, another piece of paper.

But let us explain why it truly matters.

Water doesn’t forgive surprises.

Aquatic activities are wonderful, but they’re also *real physical effort* for a baby. The heart works. The lungs work. The little body adapts to a new environment.

That’s exactly why we need to know your baby *can handle this effort* in complete safety — and the pediatrician is the only one who can confirm that.

What exactly do we check?

  • That your baby is healthy and can do “sport”
  • That there are no conditions that could be worsened by water or exertion
  • That the parent who gets in the water is also in good health

When you sign up, you also sign a declaration on your own responsibility confirming that both you and your baby:

  • do not have a fever
  • do not have convulsive or contagious conditions
  • do not have any other illnesses that could endanger your health or that of the other participants

It’s not bureaucracy. It’s respect.

Respect for your baby.

For the other children in the water.

For the families who chose us and deserve a 100% safe environment.

If you have questions about what the certificate needs to include or how to get it quickly from your family doctor or pediatrician, write to us directly. We’re here.

Is the pool water tested?2026-05-27T13:49:51+03:00

Our pool water is carefully monitored to provide a clean, healthy environment for babies’/children’s swimming.

🔎 We regularly check water quality through tests carried out by the Public Health Diagnostic and Investigation Laboratory within the Cluj County Public Health Directorate.

The results are always excellent, and parents can feel confident that their little ones are enjoying a safe and pleasant swimming experience!

How do you treat the pool water?2026-05-27T13:55:55+03:00

We have a water treatment system using salt electrolysis.
This modern technology allows us to disinfect the water without harsh chemicals like chlorine, which can irritate babies’ delicate skin. That’s why we’re proud of our advanced disinfection method using salt electrolysis, which protects children’s skin and mucous membranes from the harmful effects of chlorine.

Is the water safe for babies and toddlers?2026-05-27T13:55:54+03:00

Yes. The water temperature is maintained at an optimal level for your child’s comfort, and water hygiene and quality are carefully monitored according to safety standards.
